The old, rickety truck bounced down the slope ungracefully. The canvas top flapped, and the remaining passenger door rattled on it’s hinges. The ancient jeep groaned as it slammed onto the level floor of sand. A brown cloud of sand spewed from the back of the jeep; being upturned by the fast-moving wheels. The man behind the wheel wiped the sweat off of his forehead with an aging handkerchief. The summer sun beat down on his head, making him sweat. The jeep turned onto a battered and aging freeway, heading west.
